Hello. My name is Ashley. I’m a food addict.
Clearly. But not only that, I love trying new places around Central Florida and sharing with you all. So here’s another one: KASA Tapas & Raw Bar. Recently opened in the old Urban Flats location in downtown Orlando, the development of KASA has been going on for months-and-months. A couple of friends and I decided to give it a whirl a couple of weeks ago and I’m glad we did because it was a great experience.
Let’s look at some of the goods:
Of course, starting off with a nice, refreshing adult beverage and light appetizer is always the way to go. First up here is the “The Proper Lynchburg” and was delicious in all of its Jack Daniels and rosemary goodness, and Edamame Bruschetta, respectively. Check-out the full list of drinks and other appetizers on the main menu.
In terms of atmosphere, they layout is, of course, the same as the prior tenant, but much more modern, and seems quite “light” and open. The open kitchen concept remains the same as well, which I always like.
As far as the food, it’s tapas style so ordering several dishes and sharing for the table is encouraged. Here are a couple of items my dining companions and I tried (buttered noodles and lamb sliders). I have to say, the sliders were quite amazing (I’m a big lamb fan)!
If you haven’t been yet or are looking to try a new place sometime soon, again, give their menus a spin beforehand. And, of course, if you want to hear about what other people are saying, check out the reviews on Yelp.
