B.B. King’s Blues Club at Pointe Orlando

Last night I went to dinner with some friends and business colleagues, and ended-up going somewhere I probably never would have. Mainly because I’m not really a fan of “the blues.” I’m talking about B.B. King’s Blues Club at Pointe Orlando*. Now, if you’re an avid “Pulse” reader you already know how I feel about the International Drive area, but I’m finding more-and-more “gems” in the area that are worth checking out. B.B. King’s included!

The vibe in the restaurant/bar/club is soulful and energetic. If you’re looking for a quiet place to go and catch-up with friends or family…this is not the place to go. So be forewarned…. But if you want entertainment, celebration, and food-you-know-you-shouldn’t-eat-but-you-just-can’t-help-yourself then you’ve hit the jackpot!

On the menu you’ll find anything-and-everything fried (chicken, catfish, hush puppies, pickles) to BBQ chicken and french fries. If you dare you can see what else is on the menu. Feel like you’re having a heart attack yet? Then get-up off your chair and head over to the dance floor where you can break-it-down to the live band. You can expect something like this:

Nice write-up. I’ve been meaning to try the place out myself. It’ll be the Restaurant Report in the next issue of Orlando Attractions Magazine.
BTW: If you eat at the restaurants or see a movie, they’ll validate your parking.

@Matt Thanks! I’m glad I got to experience it; I probably wouldn’t have without the group I was with.

Also, good point about the parking being validated! I always forget that.

Have you tried Cuba Libre yet? I’m not a huge fan of the I-Drive area either, but my friend wanted to go to Maggiano’s for her birthday. Afterward, we stopped by the new rum bar. We missed the latin dancing show, but it was a lot of fun anyway. The drinks were great, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, the restaurant is decorated beautifully, and the band was a lot of fun. If I end up out that way again, I’d definitely go back!

@MLDina I have not been there yet, but it sounds like a very exciting place. Thanks for the tip!
